What a lovely couple you are - after losing your lovely Lynx to take on two foster dogs must have been so difficult - I think we all knew you would keep them both - but now you have to cope with Poppy's illness. Poppy and Ollie are so very lucky to have you care for them and give them the love they deserve.

I think you must be really special people to give not one but two other greyhounds a home when you already have two, I really hope that Poppy against all odds comes through this she sounds such a love it's such a shame that people can be so cruel to these lovely hounds. Chris

I took Poppy to the vet for a check up today and he has finally said that he is happy with her progress - that she looks in great condition and is a "different dog" to the one I brought to him 9 weeks ago....
It has been quite a journey to get her to this point, but she is such a joyful hound - it has been well worth it.
Ollie is very contented - he just loves his bed!
Both dogs have had severe muscle wastage as a result of their neglect - the next job it to build those muscles up slowly (may take months/years), being careful not to over-exercise them in the interim!
Sadly we have had very bad news about Lou, who has quite a large tumour in the back of her throat. We are waiting for the biopsy results (next Tuesday) - what happens next depends entirely on those results - keep you fingers crossed for a benign/non-invasive tumour which can be totally removed by surgery. This whole episode started a fortnight ago when I noticed that Lou had started to snore when she was lying on her left side - it's another lesson in looking out for changes and taking action - even if you think it's nothing.
Well, if I've given an update on 3 hounds I cant miss Ty out - he's fine - in his big wuss jellyboy sort of way :-)
I'll keep you posted on all of their progress...

Sending healing thoughts and prayers for Lou.
So pleased to hear about Poppy and Olly. How proud you must be of them both to be improving so much and it's all down to your dedication.

Pleased to hear the news about Poppy, I really hope that the news will also be good for Lou they are all such precious hounds, since losing Bart last year it has made me watch out constantly for any changes in Mersey and now we have Beau it will be the same for him, you just always hope that you find things in time as every day with them is precious.
