That's great news Cassie. It's exciting learning about their past. It's hard to believe they had a life before being our beloved pets. Nicky x

Where can you get their racing video from?

You need to email or ring the tracks that they raced at and ask if they have any videos of your dog. Normally they have a professional who hasthe videos stored, prices are roughly £4-5 per race, £2 DVD and £2 p+p. Before you ring them you need to have there racing name, and dates of where they raced as it will be easier for them to find. A good bit of advice would to just buy the races where they come 1st/2nd or maybe third as the camera man will focus on them and will more than likely not record he losing three. Also if you want there racing book which holds all there races, amount of money of which they won, there colour description and imnoculations you can ring the office where they last raced (I got berties sent for free he next mourning!) people are normally very willing to help as you have homed a retiree :-) if you need any help I will do my best :-)

Thanks Cass, ur a star ;d Ive emailed both Terry Brown @ Hove, & Dave Vincent @ Romford so will see what, if anything, comes back when i first brought both of them home i called the racing office at Romford (they both had their final races there) and i asked them to send me whatever they had, and i got back for Storm, a copy of her vaccination record & sheet detailing her colour/markings and a copy of her racing history. For Apollo i only got his vaccination record & the sheet with his colour/markings. Just wondering if anyone got anything different to this? Well I called Romford and to start with I spoke to a lovely lady who advised me to call back as the racing office was closed. I thought this seemed positive as she was great! However, when I called back I spoke to a chap who sounded like he was bored speaking to me as soon as he picked up the phone. He found our two on their system but immediately said he couldn't help me any further and couldn't provide me with any other info about who to contact for pics or dvds. So we have no race books, no pics, no videos/dvds absolutely nothing. I emailed their trainer and I know she must be busy but I haven't even had a reply back to say anything - not even a 'can't help you' So it looks like we're getting nothing for Banana Brain (even though Vinny ran ALL his 55 races at Romford) or Muppet so we'll just have to be excited that you guys are getting bits and pieces. Cass I am thrilled that you have found out so much about your handsome boy Bertie - he looks stunning in his running pics bless him and I have loved reading about everyone elses finds Just on the off chance though - Storm & Apollo's mum - please could I be cheeky and ask for the email for your chap at Romford - thanks a million Sarah xxxx

Hope you get somewhere Sarah. I've got a DVD of Betty and a lovely photo. Her trainer is lovely. Who was Vinny and Gracie-lu's trainers? Nicky x

Mayb go on google and type in gbgb (great Britain greyhound board) and type I in there trainers name you might find the telephone number for there trainer and maybe ring him/her :-) if you can't get the number that way, you could always go on Romford dogs website and it should have a list of trainers that are based there, of vins is based there then they must have his number!!! What are your houndies racing names? Maybe I could email/ring up on wednesday to see if i can get anywhere? I'm not Saying you are incapable just want to help!!!! ;D

I guess it varies from track to track - but the woman and the guy she put me on to at Crayford were fabulous and seemed really excited that we'd got a Crayford dog. They went out of their way to find stuff for me.
