Lots of fireworks going off tonight. Lyra is really stressed and I know she must need to toilet but she doesn't want to go out!

So sorry to hear about all these poor houndies and their reactions to the fireworks. Both of our 2 lovelies have just come back from a 1/2 hour walk around our streets with no reaction to noise or flashes, in fact Fletcher decided he wanted to watch the sparklies in the sky. I feel very fortunate, knowing what your greys are going through.

Baby was an absolute nightmare last year and the year before so was all prepared to have to build her a 'cave' to hide in again and get some drops to calm her but all week she has been absolutely fine :-/even tonight when there's been some huge bangs and squeals she is fast asleep on my bed .Hugs to all the scared houndies out there tonight.

It's still going strong here with some huge bangs - Patrick seemed a bit anxious earlier in the evening but a lovely back massage from his mum sooned calmed him down and he is sleeping like a baby now (and so is his dad!!!!!!)

Darcy has been brilliant. He nipped out for a wee a bit earlier and a firework exploded loudly nearby, he just gave it one of his rare barks (he's barked about 6 times since we homed him at the end of July).
He's ignored the sounds of armageddon outside, but done his usual trick of jumping up and rushing to the door every time I turned the page of my book too loudly.
Hang in there, it's nearly over.

Blaze was a complete jelly girl, shaking uncontrollably from the first distant pop of firework around 7pm to midnight, this despite meds from the vet to help her, and hiding in her den, she got so hot and was panting so hard I thought she was going to have a heart attack! We have the second night of a big public display nearby tonight so am off out for a walk now then more meds and hope for the best. Am ordering a thundershirt today and see if that helps her come new year.

Persia had it really bad night until late.
She looked at one point like she was having a fit, needed to carry her into the living room with the surround sound on high to listen to xfactor, good amount of noise.
Prince not so bad, been whimpering but keeping his head down.
I don't like to see the dogs like this.

This is the first year I've hated fireworks night, due to having my big pupster! Last couple weeks when a firework has gone off he's gone mental, so I prepared hugely for last night, did everything by the book, then low and behold the little bugga was running around the garden really excited. His fur was standing up on his back like a Mohawk, so could tell he was a tad scared, but I gave him lots of reassurance and he then didn't bother with bangs all night.
I'm so pleased as was dreading it not really knowing him still (6weeks on Tuesday since he's been home).

So sorry to hear that other greys have been so stressed. Hope Blaze was ok last night, Katie, poor girl. Despite going away, we did have fireworks on friday night and Bren had 1 valium, he had a sort of breakthrough episode where he did a bit of pacing and shaking when he heard them so had another half later on, which helped. Saturday was a bit better, despite more fireworks, but gave him a tablet before his dinner and a half later on, he found a very dark spot and what with tv and radio on loud he was quite good (for him) Got home late last night, to avoid any in London and yes there were some going off gone 11.30 pm- I was like the proverbial mad woman cursing and using very colourful language! Just hope there are no more now......
